Truly Marvelous

I used to be deathly afraid of the ocean. I had never seen the ocean in person, mind you, but I was raised on a bedtime story diet of HP Lovecraft, endowing an excess of Cthulu in my constitution. I read news pieces on the Mariana Trench, colossal squids, and how we know more about outer space than we do about the depths of the ocean.

It’s terrifying when you think about it. And I overthought it.
